In order for children to be able to fully concentrate on us and what we are teaching them we do not allow parents to stay and watch. Parents often present a distraction for their children. After all, they want to please you. That being said, parents may attend the last day of class to observe what their child has learned throughout the week.
We teach children ages 3 and up. We teach separate swim classes for ages 9-adult. Please contact us if you are interested in these classes.
Someone is always with each child when they are IN or NEAR the pool. We stress safety and the pool rules before we start each class.
As you can see on our What to Expect page, your child doesn’t need to bring much to his or her lessons. If you have any special needs that we need to be aware of, please let us know.
Most of the time, it distracts from the lesson. Kids spend so much time fiddling with their goggles that they don’t pay attention to the lesson. It is usually not a big deal for the child, especially as they follow the parent’s lead on the issue.
We like to see them jump off the diving board by themselves and be able to swim to the side. If he or she will not go off the board, we will do it from the side of the pool. Naturally each child is different in his or her abilities, but a 3-year old’s motor skills are limited as to what he or she is able to accomplish at that age.
It has happened before, but most of the time they will not be in the same class because their swimming abilities and motor skills are at different levels.
Because of our small classes, we can usually schedule make-up classes on Saturdays or Sunday afternoons. Sometimes we can make it up during the week during the afternoon when we have no scheduled classes. Please see the cancellation policy for further information.
Just give us a call and we can try to reschedule your time. We can’t always promise that it will be possible, but we will try.
Absolutely! They will just need to be separate weeks throughout the summer. We do not allow a child to take more than one class during a single week.
Private lessons might be good for older children, but with younger children ages 3 to 7, they actually learn by watching the other kids in their class. Through the years, we have learned that children who are hesitant to try something new are more likely to try it when they see the other children in the class doing it.
Our address is 2943 Rolling Hills Dr., Carrollton, TX 75007. We are the only house with a circle drive in the front. If you are facing the house, you enter the backyard on the right side (the north side) of the house.
Unfortunately, no.
Due to scheduling restraints, we only schedule a make-up for classes canceled due to inclement weather.
Swim lessons are non-refundable 30 days prior to the start of your scheduled class date.
Cancellations prior or during the session will be charged for lessons taken in addition to a $25 cancellation fee per child.
